Abstract
For centuries the Book of Job has been the source of both fascination and mystery. It pushes the human understanding of God to its limit and readers are forced into uncomfortable tensions between God’s sovereignty and human choice, God’s goodness and human suffering, and God’s justice in the face of human misery. The Book of Job creates a crisis of faith, where our deepest held beliefs and apprehensions of God are called into question
