After a brief interruption, Jonathan Edwards Studies is back, and with a special, extended issue. All of the essays presented here relate to Edwards the philosopher, specifically as a moral philosopher or ethicist. The first three--all written by doctoral students representing a new generation of scholars--consider Edwards' legacy among his disciples on the issue of self-love, a contested topic in late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century intellectual circles.
